The three steps

  1. Sign up online (the signup flow is in Hebrew) — verify your mobile number on WhatsApp or by phone call. No credit card; the 7-day trial starts free.
  2. Dial your carrier's forwarding code. The code sets "forward when unanswered" to your personal Onimli number. Syntax varies by carrier and plan, so you then make a real test call from a second phone — activation is confirmed only when the test call reaches the assistant.
  3. Miss a call, get a summary. From then on, any call you don't pick up is answered in natural Hebrew. The assistant asks who's calling and why, declines identified telemarketing politely, and sends you a WhatsApp or email summary with a full transcript.

What never changes

Your number stays your number. Your phone rings first. Calls you answer yourself never pass through Onimli — they aren't recorded, transcribed or seen by anyone. There's no app, so nothing runs on your device and no permissions are requested. To stop, you dial the carrier's cancel code and verify with another test call.

Language: what's in Hebrew and what's in English

The conversation with callers is in Hebrew, and the summary you receive is in Hebrew. The signup flow and the account area are in Hebrew too — this English section is a guide for English speakers in Israel who want their callers answered in the local language. If you can read basic Hebrew or use your phone's translation, you'll manage fine.

FAQ

How does Onimli work?

Your phone rings first, as always. If you don't answer, carrier call forwarding sends the call to your personal Onimli number, where an AI assistant answers in natural Hebrew, asks who is calling and what it's about, and sends you a written summary on WhatsApp or email with a full transcript.

Can I keep my existing phone number?

Yes. Nothing about your number changes. You dial a one-time carrier code that forwards only unanswered calls; calls you pick up yourself never reach Onimli at all.

Does it require installing an app?

No. There is no app, no device permissions and nothing to install — it works through the carrier network, so it also works on basic phones and kosher phones.

Which Israeli carriers are supported?

Forwarding codes and rules differ by carrier and plan, so we don't promise blanket support. During signup you get the code for your carrier and confirm the connection with a real test call from a second phone — activation happens only after that call succeeds.

How long does setup take?

Signup takes a few minutes: verify your number (no credit card), dial the forwarding code, and make one test call. If the test call reaches the assistant, you're live.

Will callers know they're speaking to AI?

Yes, always. The assistant introduces itself as a digital assistant, never pretends to be human, and says so explicitly if asked. Calls are recorded by default and the greeting announces it; recordings and transcripts are deleted within 7 days.

Does it work after hours or while I'm abroad?

The assistant answers whenever an unanswered call is forwarded to it, at any hour. When roaming abroad, forwarding behavior depends on your carrier's roaming rules — test it with a real call before relying on it.

What do I get on WhatsApp after a missed call?

A short Hebrew summary: who called, what they wanted, and the number to call back, plus a button that opens the full transcript. Identified telemarketing calls are politely declined and flagged in the summary.
