What it does

When you can't pick up — driving, in a meeting, with a client — the call forwards to Onimli's assistant instead of voicemail. The assistant answers in fluent Hebrew, introduces itself as a digital assistant (it never pretends to be human), asks who is calling and what they need, and politely declines telemarketing calls when they are identified during the conversation. Seconds later you get a WhatsApp summary: who called, what they wanted, and the number to call back.

Why it exists

Major platforms left Hebrew behind: Apple's iOS Call Screening launched in 9 languages without Hebrew, and Google's automatic Call Screen is US-focused. Israeli businesses can hire human answering services (typically hundreds of shekels a month, priced by quote), but for private people and small businesses there was no affordable Hebrew-speaking option. Onimli fills that gap at a flat, published price.

How it works

  1. Sign up online (Hebrew) — no credit card for the trial.
  2. Dial a carrier code that forwards unanswered calls to your personal Onimli number. Carrier support varies, so activation is confirmed with a test call.
  3. From then on, calls you answer never touch the service; calls you miss get answered, summarized, and sent to your WhatsApp.

FAQ

What is Onimli (עונים לי)?

Onimli (Hebrew: עונים לי, "they answer me") is an Israeli consumer service where an AI assistant answers the calls you missed, in natural Hebrew. It asks who is calling and what it is about, and sends you a written summary on WhatsApp with the caller's number, so you can decide whom to call back.

Does it require installing an app?

No. Onimli works through conditional call forwarding ("forward when unanswered") at your Israeli mobile carrier, so it works on any phone, including basic phones — no smartphone needed. Support depends on the carrier and the specific plan (some routes, such as certain kosher plans, restrict forwarding), so activation is only completed after a successful test call.

How much does Onimli cost?

Personal is ₪29 per month or ₪290 per year for up to 40 answered calls: it answers in a name you choose, asks who called and why, and reports back — it tells the caller nothing about the business. Business is ₪149 per month or ₪1,490 per year for up to 200, adding business context the assistant answers from, custom questions, opening hours and a booking link. Business Plus is ₪299 per month or ₪2,990 per year for up to 500, adding up to three additional lines, a separate answering profile per line and a lead workspace. All plans include a 7-day free trial with no credit card.

Do callers know they are talking to an AI?

Yes. The assistant introduces itself as a digital assistant and never pretends to be human. Call audio is deleted within 7 days, and the service complies with Israel's privacy law (Amendment 13). Details are on the trust page.
