Who is this for?

English speakers whose callers speak Hebrew: olim and expats, remote workers with an Israeli line, and small businesses in Israel whose customers phone in Hebrew (a clinic, a tradesperson, a studio, a shop). The problem is rarely your Hebrew. It is that a missed call from a Hebrew-speaking customer ends in a voicemail nobody leaves, and you never learn what they wanted. Onimli works on Israeli mobile lines: activation uses your carrier's no-answer forwarding, so it depends on your carrier and plan, and the setup ends with a real test call that confirms it works on your line.

What happens when you miss a call?

  1. Your phone rings and you don't pick up. The carrier forwards the call to the assistant instead of voicemail.
  2. The assistant answers in Hebrew, introduces itself as a digital assistant and says that the call is recorded.
  3. It asks who is calling and what it is about, in a short natural conversation. On the business plans it also asks the questions you defined.
  4. If the call turns out to be telemarketing, it declines politely and marks it as spam.
  5. You get a written summary on WhatsApp: who called, what they wanted, a callback number, and the full transcript.
  6. Recordings and transcripts are deleted within 7 days.

Three things people call "AI answering" in Hebrew, and which one this is

Hebrew search uses several names for this category: מענה טלפוני AI (AI phone answering), מזכירה AI (AI secretary or receptionist) and סוכן קולי (voice agent). They are not the same product.

Privacy and transparency

The assistant never pretends to be human: it introduces itself as a digital assistant and confirms it if asked. The greeting announces that the call is recorded. Recordings and transcripts are kept for the summary and deleted within 7 days. The Hebrew trust and privacy page lists what is stored and for how long.

FAQ

Does the assistant speak English?

The conversation with callers, the summaries and the dashboard are in Hebrew. That is the point: your Hebrew-speaking callers are answered in their language. These English pages exist so you can decide with full information.

Do I need to install an app?

No. Activation is a carrier forwarding code that sends unanswered calls to the assistant. The setup screen shows the instructions for your carrier, and a test call from a second phone confirms that the forwarding works on your line.

Which carriers and plans are supported?

Any Israeli line whose carrier and plan allow no-answer call forwarding. Because that varies by carrier and plan, Onimli does not promise support in advance: the free trial and the test call are the proof.

Can it book appointments for me?

No. It takes the message and can give the caller your booking link, but it does not book on your behalf. If you need a receptionist that books, that is a different family of product (see the table above).

Will callers know it is AI?

Yes. The assistant introduces itself as a digital assistant, never pretends to be human, and says so explicitly if asked.
